I’m a 2023 NALAC Fellow

I have some exciting news to share  – I have been accepted into the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures 2023 NALAC Advocacy Leadership Institute (ALI) fellowship. I am thrilled and grateful for this opportunity to further develop my skills and pursue my passion for arts and cultural advocacy.

Fifteen artists and arts administrators selected for the 2023 NALAC Advocacy Leadership Institute

March 15, 2023, San Antonio, TX — The National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures announces the cohort of artists, arts administrators, and cultural workers participating in the 2023 Advocacy Leadership Institute (ALI). The selected fellows will complete a two-month virtual program culminating with a trip to Washington D.C. this spring to meet with legislators and national arts and nonprofit leaders.

NALAC press release, 3/15/23

Participating in this fellowship is an amazing opportunity to learn about arts and cultural advocacy – and put it right into practice. I’m a little nervous and very excited to embark on this journey, having the opportunity to learn from so many accomplished leaders in the field, and connect with my cohort of 14 fellows.

More updates to come, and undoubtedly, lots of photos from DC on my IG @lorie.caval
